British Columbia Hunting
If you want to hunt whitetail, mule deer, moose, bear, elk, wolf, mountain goat, big horn sheep, cougar and or coyote in a spectacular scenic setting in the Canadian Rockies this is where you want to be. This outfitter offers you a choice of hunt settings and species combinations so you can hunt multiple species for the price of the most expensive animal you have a tag for with only having to buy the tags and pay the trophy fees on the animals harvested.
Hunt the majestic Canadian Rockies of British Columbia. The area we hunt is over 500 square miles bordering Kootenay National Park. This provides for an unspoiled hunting opportunity with the game having virtually no pressure at all and in fact some of the game you may harvest may have never seen a human before.
Don’t miss your opportunity to experience a true back country adventure in the scenic Canadian Rockies. Space is limited to four to six hunters per week on a first come first serve basis, so don’t delay.
Included above for the hunt is: All meals and lodging while in camp, guide services, skinning and quartering the meat for transport from camp.
Not included the above hunt is: transportation to and from camp, meals and lodging before or after the scheduled duration of the hunt, HST taxes on the hunt and trophy fees, license, tags, taxidermy, airline meat boxes, meat and antler shipping/packaging, meat butchering & freezing, gratuities and incidental expenses. NOTE: taxes by the Provincial Government may change (increase) between the time the hunt is booked and the time the final payment is made. Applicable taxes are assessed upon final payment of the hunt.
Checks are made out to hook-n-hunt. hook-n-hunt will keep a log of payments and send you a copy. The balance of the hunt (base hunt fee, license, tags & taxes) is due 45 days before the scheduled hunt date. Final payment for trophy fees on animals harvested is paid to the outfitter at the conclusion of the hunt with cash or cashier’s/bank check. Personal checks are not accepted. The outfitter has very graciously agreed to let hook-n-hunt work with each hunter to tailor a very reasonable payment plan that allows you to book well in advance in order to secure the best time slot and pricing.
Additional details on where to fly into, where to stay, gear list, etc. will all be provided well in advance of the hunt. The outfitter will do everything he can to work with you if you need to reschedule so long as you are current with the payments and the outfitter has not purchased the license and tag. Cut off dates for rescheduling prior to the purchase of the tags and license is 90 days. As always with these types of hunts deposits and monies paid are non-refundable; rescheduling and reassignment of the hunt to another individual is always possible. Cancellation insurance should be considered as this hunt should be viewed as an investment and as such protected against unforeseen events that would be covered by the cancellation insurance. The outfitter is licensed through the British Columbia Provincial Government.
Accommodations are very quaint and rustic with a client/hunter bunk house, guide bunk house and cook/dining house with shower and pit toilet. Meals (breakfast & dinner) are provided with sack lunches when you are out in the field during the day. In some instances you may hunt out of a spike camp.
The Outfitter offers a multitude of hunting methods/opportunities that will be tailored to your physical capabilities. As with most big game hunts, the better physical condition you are in the more opportunity you will provide yourself in chasing that quarry. The Outfitter's guides are top shelf, are in many cases second generation or more and will be very sensitive to your needs and capabilities. They will work very hard for you to provide you the opportunity needed for harvesting your chosen species.
Tags are limited on many species, so don’t be left in the cold call and book your hunt before the tags are gone.
If a British Columbia hunt is on your bucket list of hunts, this certainly is the destination you will want to go to. You will want to be sure to budget at least 2 additional days while there to sight see up and down the Kootenay Parkway and Trans Canada 1 from Banff to Jasper and be sure to bring your bathing suit for the Hot Springs at Radium Hot Springs.
