South Dakota Hunting

south1If you would like to archery hunt for big, mature Midwest Whitetail or Mule Deer Bucks (no does) and don't want to wait year after year to get drawn for an archery tag, this is where you want to come hunt. Want to hunt true wild pheasants, waterfowl (draw basis only) or Bison, come hunt in South Dakota. All hunting is done on over 25,000 acres of habitat consisting cornfields, CPR, sloughs, natural grass fields and shelterbelts. While having a lot of prime land is great, if you don't have the game to go with the land, well hunting may not be very good. The Outfitter's property according to the South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Commission's pheasant density map is smack in the middle of the highest density in the state at over 200 pheasants per square mile. The Outfitter has a lot more birds than 200 per square mile. Hunt deer from BIG DOG Tree Stands, Double Bull Ground Blinds and Blind Turtle Hard Shell Blinds with over 130 different specific locations. Spot and stalk for your Bison. We hunt the edges of bedding areas, corn fields, funnels between bedding and feeding, waterholes, and much more. If interested in a waterfowl hunt contact us by June 1st as the application deadline for waterfowl is early July each year.

south2Pheasant Hunting 5 Hunters or Less:  It is in your best interest, if possible, to join up with another group of hunters.  If you choose not to hunt with another group, a rate of $150/Day/Hunter extra will be charged.  Notification must be received prior to arrival so that we have the proper number of guides available.  If you are the only group at the lodge or the other groups are too large for you to join up with (limit 20 guns per group), the rate will not apply.

Return to the days of yesteryear and hunt the original North America Big Game Animal of the 1700's, Bison. Not only will you harvest a trophy of a lifetime the meat is delicious and better for you than beef. This is a spot and stalk hunt. These Bison free range in various low fence pastures and are not penned up is a small area. They roam thousands of acres year around. There is a local processor than can turn your bison around in a day so you can take it home already cut, wrapped and frozen. Don't fly here if you want to take your meat home, drive.
